
Kathleen McAuliffe
Kathleen Studied Fine Art Painting at Camberwell
School of Art, London. Later going onto do Millinery
at the London School of Fashion. To pay her way
through college she worked at "Browns" of South
Molton street and for the "Hat shop" in Covent Garden.
On Sundays she sold her first hat designs at Greenwich Market.
Tiring of London she moved to Ireland and met her husband and fellow millinery Niall Mellon in 1993. Surrounded by stunning beauty of the Dingle peninsula they set up "Kathleen McAuliffe Millinery". Supplying Stores in Ireland, France, and Germany, including Pairs shop, Hat shop, Covent Garden and Arnotts Dublin. Through word of mouth an ever-increasing number of private customers were calling to the workshop to have hats made.

Rush hour Castlegregory
In 2003 they set up their shop in Dingle showcasing their designs. Having a retail outlet has let them expand their range to include jewellery, bags and scarves. "It's lovely to see someone fall in love with a new style you've just made!"
Kathleenmcauliffe.com first went online in 2004 now in it's third version our aim is to bring our designs to all. Fresh original designs handmade for you plus all the lovely bits that we sell in our Dingle shop.We are also Irelands leading online store for Orla Kiely. Kathleen has been selling Orla Kiely in Ireland for the bast 6 years. It is a brand we were drawn to the first time we saw it.
